Hôtel de Santans - Marnay
Aux portes du Doubs, Marnay cache un patrimoine étonnant qui lui a valu l’obtention du label "Cité de Caractère de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté" mais aussi, celui de "Station Verte".
Perché au-dessus de la rivière, le bourg a su garder quelques vestiges du passé comme son hôtel de Santans, son Église Saint-Symphorien, son ancien château ayant appartenu aux célèbres comtes de Chalon, ses trajes ou encore ses maisons vigneronnes.

The Hôtel de Santans, now the Town Hall, is a fine example of 16th century urban civil architecture, in which the Renaissance style flourished. Its large facade, in ocher limestone with bluish veins, is characterized by its mullioned windows often twinned. The window frame upstairs, on the right, has retained the Santans coat of arms. The semicircular door surmounted by a table supported by consoles, recalls the entablature of ancient temples.
