The course is open to everyone, aged 12 and over: beginners or experts, copyist monks... or doctors in a hurry, you're all welcome! A scientific operation called "STOC-capture", which uses the principle of capture-recapture to provide an estimate of the demographic trends of the most common passerines in our countryside. Coordinated by Florian Lepaul and Pierre Piotte. The ringing station is set up at the Maison de la Nature in Brussey from 2pm to 4pm on the first day, followed by ringing until dark (bring boots, headlamp and packed lunch). The following day, ringing from daybreak until midday, then packing up. This is a study commissioned by the CRBPO (Centre de recherches sur la biologie des populations d'oiseaux) and interested participants are invited to sign up as "ringing helpers" with the people in charge. Places are limited in order to avoid a large influx of people who might disrupt the birds' nesting season.
