Marnay, haut lieu de la pêche

The town of Marnay is well known for its fishing. The river Ognon in this area is renowned for its abundance of fish, particularly carnivorous fish, with very large fish not uncommon. The most popular fishing spot is certainly the Marnay lake. Located downstream of the RD29, it covers an area of 23 hectares. It is easily accessible from the shore, and is also frequented by boat and float-tube anglers. Two boat launches, pontoons for disabled access and picnic tables are available on the site. One of the courses has now been awarded the "Parcours Passion" label. Special regulations have been introduced to protect the Black Bass, a sport fish much prized by anglers.
